Pakistan's 'Darling’ has won the Best Short at Venice Film Festival
Pakistani short film Darling won the Orizzonti Award for Best Short Film/Horizons Award for the best short film at the Venice Film Festival. Coordinated by Saim Sadiq, Darling recounts to the account of a little fellow and a trans young lady. The film highlights forthcoming entertainer Mehar Bano, Abdullah Malik, and Nadia Afgan (Suno Chanda and Shaslik).
Not just that, the job of Alina in Darling is played by Alina Khan, a genuine transgender entertainer from Lahore for whom the film stamps as her acting presentation. The short movie's co-makers incorporate and Fahad Nabi and Jasmin Tennuci, with Mo Azmi — who delivered and shot Cake and Laal Kabootar — the executive of photography.
Sadiq's past short movie, Nice Talking to You, was an official determination at South by Southwest 2019, Palm Springs International Shortsfest 2019, and won Vimeo's Best Director grant at Columbia University Film Festival 2018.
