Lady Gaga to dispatch excellence line on Amazon as retailer targets beauty care products business
(Reuters) - Pop star Lady Gaga on Tuesday reported a line of magnificence items only available to be purchased on Amazon (AMZN.O) in a lift to the online retailer's makeup business.
The brand, Haus Laboratories, will dispatch in September for customers in almost twelve nations, including the United States, Germany and Japan, Amazon said.
The move underscores how the world's greatest online retailer is expanding rivalry with conventional beautifying agents dealers like Ulta Beauty (ULTA.O) and Sephora-parent LVMH (LVMH.PA), which as of late propelled a wonder brand by artist Rihanna.
Woman Gaga, who shared an Academy Award this year for the first melody "Shallow," said Amazon was the correct accomplice since it grasped her message of self-acknowledgment.
"There are organizations that see me and a big motivator for I and the manner in which that I see the world, and if it's not impeccably in accordance with what they do ... they'll resemble, 'Can you simply change half of the condition?'" the artist told production The Business of Fashion, which revealed the news before Tuesday. "The appropriate response is no. No arrangement."
Amazon's push into beautifiers incorporates a private mark healthy skin brand called Belei.
